Terra Nova Solutions recently completed a sewer cleaning project in southeastern Massachusetts to remove PCB-contaminated sediment from a storm sewer system. Prior to decontamination, inflatable pipe plugs were installed in the outfalls of the sewer system. The sewer cleaning was performed with a high-pressure water truck to move debris and sediment toward the working manhole, where it was subsequently collected in a stainless-steel vacuum truck. In total, 12 manholes and catch basins were cleaned using high pressure jets. Sampling, manifesting, transportation, and disposal of waste were conducted in accordance to all regulations. Terra Nova is currently performing the site O&M.
